Lyal Island Circumnavigation (beginner-intermediate)
A great trip for both experienced and novice paddlers, taking the group around the interesting waters surrounding Lyal Island. Sights to see include the smaller islands of Dane and Knife Island, the possibility of seeing some historical shipwrecks and viewing the lighthouses that are found on Lyal Island itself and the juxtaposed new and old lighthouse on Knife Island, making this a very rich experience. The trip will begin with your guide covering some essential paddling skills to acclimate you to your boat and then sets off for a safe journey around Lyal Island with a rest and lunch on the Island itself. This is a relatively sheltered trip but does cover some kilometers so bring a high level of energy and prepare to have fun.
