Guided Sea Kayak Trips and Courses
Circumnavigate Flower Pot Island (intermediate-advanced)
There is no better way to experience the stunning flowerpot formations found on this island then to glide under them in a sea kayak! Starting our trip with some refresher kayak skills in Little Tub harbor, the group will then set out on a route that will take us down the tip of the peninsula shoreline before making for the open water. On route we will pass the extremely rugged Middle Island before crossing further to the distant shore of Flowerpot Island. We will check in with Parks Canada attendants to pay our landing fees and then pass by the rock formations that give this Island it’s name. Resting and lunching at these monuments, we will finish up with a complete circumnavigation of the Island to return past our Middle Island waypoint back to the safety of Tobermory. There is a entry fee to Parks Canada to make land on Flowerpot included in this package price. Be advised that a reasonable level of physical fitness is required for this trip.
