Adult Sea Kayak Skills Course Tobermory (beginner - intermediate)
If your interested in kayaking, possibly own your own boat or want to develop your skills further in this popular watersport this is the course for you! Come and paddle with our Paddle Canada certified guides as they walk you through the outfitting, strokes and essential rescue techniques that will help you be safe and prepared for your own solo adventures. Suitable for sea kayakers or recreational paddlers who want to develop their skills, this day on the water will be a fun filled experience in paddling. Techniques covered will include basic comfort and outfitting of your boat, paddle techniques including; forward and sweep strokes, bracing, stopping and reverse paddling, draw strokes, various towing techniques, wet exits and all important rescue skills such as assisted and paddle float rescues. We will be in the water for a portion of the course so be prepared to get wet and dress appropriately. Lunch is not provided but we will break onshore so that the group may rest and have their own prepared meals. Basic swimming skills required.
